Program Overview

Applied Experience Within an Active Organization

The Impact-Based Internship operates on a quarterly cycle aligned with the evolving operational needs of TOMA BAṜRE EDUCATION. Each quarter focuses on a specific functional area, allowing interns to contribute to real institutional processes, defined deliverables, and active initiatives.

Interns do not complete simulated assignments created solely for observation. Their work supports areas such as nonprofit development, project coordination, cohort preparation, research, documentation, and international program planning.

Quarterly Placements

Quarterly Rotation Model

Each quarterly placement is aligned with a defined operational focus. Applicants may apply for the rotation that best matches their interests, academic background, professional goals, and availability.

Q1 · January–March

Nonprofit Development & Fundraising

Support research, donor and prospect tracking, sponsorship coordination, grant preparation, and development documentation.

Primary focus. Capital development and financial continuity.

Relevant interests. Finance, nonprofit management, business, communications, public administration, and fundraising.

Q2 · April–June

Event Planning & Project Management

Support logistics tracking, scheduling, stakeholder coordination, vendor research, documentation, and milestone management for organizational events and project activities.

Primary focus. Operational execution and project delivery.

Relevant interests. Project management, operations, event planning, business administration, hospitality, and communications.

Q3 · July–September

Human Resources & Cohort Preparation

Support onboarding documentation, internal packet preparation, compliance tracking, scheduling, records coordination, and cohort-readiness activities.

Primary focus. Institutional readiness and people operations.

Relevant interests. Human resources, organizational leadership, psychology, business administration, education, and operations.

Q4 · October–December

International Policy & Regional Briefing

Support governance research, regional analysis, briefing development, contextual summaries, and strategic preparation related to active international initiatives.

Primary focus. Informed engagement and strategic research.

Relevant interests. International relations, political science, public policy, economics, global studies, research, and communications.
